Electronics Repair Technician, Board Level – Las Vegas, NV

Rentex has an immediate opening for a full-time, board level, Electronics Repair Technician. We are searching for a well-organized, reliable technician to join our excellent company. Job responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing audiovisual equipment.
To be successful in this role, you should be highly organized, demonstrate strong mechanical skills and enjoy performing tasks with your hands. Outstanding electronics technicians are able to use a wide range of resources to solve problems. What you will do.
- Repair equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Coordinate repairs with vendors as needed.
- Procure and manage repair parts inventory.
- Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Recognize failures and set-up problems and determine need for appropriate verification.
- Keep accurate record of all repairs and costs.
- Operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
- Perform any combination of following tasks to solder or unsolder electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems using microscope equipment.
- Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, or related bonding procedures and equipment.
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
- Perform testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

- Liaise with supervisors discuss work schedules and time and material cost estimates.
- Interpret drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.
About you.
- Experience performing electronics / PCB rework
- Fine pitch soldering experience
- Can solder under a microscope
- Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics.
- Professional audiovisual electronics experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for electronics.
