That’s why we’re now offering the Sony HSC-300RF Broadcast Full Studio Configuration Camera.
A Complete Studio Camera Kit
The Sony HSC-300RF is an HD/SD studio camera outfitted with an optical fiber CCU input and supports cable runs up to 6,562 ft to an optional CCU. As a complete solution, the unit comes as part of a full studio configuration kit that includes inputs/outputs for XLR audio, XLR mic, HD/SD-SDI output, VF signal, SDI prompter output/genlock input/return input, and XLR intercom. The HSC-300RF was developed to support large lenses via Sony HDLA-1500, HDLA-1505, and HDLA-1507 large lens adapters. The camera sports a built-in neutral density and color correction optical servo filters that operators can control remotely using an RCP or MSU.
Next-Generation Camera Technology
Sony designed the HSC-300RF to deliver excellent picture quality for high definition production over optical fiber. It leverages 1.5 Gbps optical fiber technology and features advanced 16-bit A/D conversion circuitry, and remarkable three 2/3-inch CCDs for excellent picture quality even when transmitted over great distances. A standard built-in, high-quality down-convertor supports superior SD images. The large-lens operation is made possible using HDLA-1500 Series Large Lens Adaptors, which feature a unique “Quick Mount” design for effortless camera operability. As an added benefit, the HSC300RF offers easy configuration with the compact 1.5 RU-size HSCU-300RF Camera Control Unit. And with the optional HZCU-MC3 camera operating software installed, the HSCU-300RF can be remotely controlled so that the unit can be used as a simple studio camera or as part of a large broadcasting system that consists of multiple cameras.
Advanced Features
The HSC-300RF is equipped with a multi-matrix function that allows color adjustments over the range specified by the operator. This feature comes in handy when only the hue of certain colors needs to be adjusted for special effects. It also allows for a seamless match with images from another camera model. An adaptive-matrix feature enables unparalleled color conversion for shooting under strong ambient lighting conditions. And the Master White Gain function enables step-less adjustment of gain levels.
Designed for Professionals
Each attribute of the HSC-300RF’s design was made with the professional in mind. The main chassis has a rigid, magnesium-alloy casting for enhanced durability and protection of optical parts and electronics. An adjustable shoulder pad provides operators with an optimal weight balance without the use of tools. The camera comes with focus assist functions to help the operator recognize focus points and make proper adjustments to the viewfinder frame. An optimized handle shape enhances the camera’s operability while a protrusion positioned on the front of the handle drives stability.
