Overview

Small in size, big on pro features; Epiphan Pearl Mini is an easy to use yet powerful platform to switch, record, and stream. The generous 7” Touchscreen display provides a live confidence view for monitoring and managing multiple stream channels and switching layouts. Pearl Mini has the power to master and stream multiple channels at once. Complex layouts can include multiple video sources together in a Program feed, including physical SDI/HDMI inputs and network stream sources by RTSP or SRT, together with text and images. Use any of the embedded, XLR/TRS, 3.5mm, and RCA audio with individual level and delay controls. These saved layouts are available for live switching for a polished, professional result. Outbound stream protocols include RTMP(S), SRT, RTSP, MPEG-TS, RTP/UDP, HLS, and DASH which covers all major social media, video conferencing, and content services. Direct CMS integration is also available for Kaltura, Panopto and YuJa. Low latency, High quality SRT streaming enables secure and reliable point-to-point links over local and public networks (the internet), and the SRT Rendezvous system as found in the Pearl series even simplifies connecting through unknown firewall systems found on site. This enables the Pearl Mini to quickly send to or receive from another Pearl unit for multi-site events. SRT is also integrated into other products such as the Panasonic AW-UE100 and UE150 4K PTZ cameras and AG-CX350 4K Camcorder, enabling the Pearl Mini to receive SRT over network directly from those cameras. Our Pearl Mini units include an internal 512gb SSD drive to ensure recording is always available. After recording, files can be set for automatic upload to USB or individually transferred, or the Pearl can be set to send recordings directly to network storage as they are completed.

¹Pearl Mini supports up to three HD video sources in a single channel with two picture in picture layouts under certain conditions. ²HDCP compliant. ³You can connect a USB, RTSP, or an SRT source to Pearl Mini; however, using multiple digital sources can affect performance depending on your setup. If you experience performance issues, check CPU usage and take remedial actions like: remove some configured layouts, reduce the channel’s frame rate, or remove a video input. ⁴Digital audio is de-embedded from the digital source. ⁵SD-SDI audio is not supported. ⁶SD card is reserved for system use and not for transferring files to other devices.
