Overview

The P80 is a high-performance 4K60p 4:4:4 10-bit presentation switcher designed for mission-critical, large-scale live events. It utilizes an FPGA-based architecture to ensure ultra-low latency (as low as 1 frame) and massive scaling power. Blended projection and large LED video wall outputs spanning multiple connectors are supported. Layering capacity is capable but not excessive, with up to 8 main mixing layers and 4 PIP mixing layers available in 4K. When not switching a production with 4K outputs, flexibility is turned up with the ability to use 8 main outputs in Split Mode. These outputs offer support for “Dual Link” resolutions such as 2560×1440 and below.

Additionally, 4 Flex outputs can use scaling and crossfade transitions for utility outputs. With V2.0 software, P80 brings new Linking support, in the form of two QSFP28 (100Gb) ports on the input card. This allows you to bring two P80 systems together for larger projects. Note: P80 is not designed to link with Q8. Mission Critical applications are supported with redundant power and networking connections available. Dante Audio is on hand with 64×64 channels for use dis-embedding and re-embedding audio to and from video sources.

As with the rest of the PixelFlow family, Control is available on PC, Mac, U5 series controllers, or with tight integration in Bitfocus Companion.
