Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals has an immediate opening for a full-time Warehouse Associate at our Fort Lauderdale, FL location. We offer a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Schedules may vary based on business needs and may include nights and/or weekends. The primary schedule for this role is Thursday through Monday.
Position Overview
As a warehouse team member, you will work primarily in either the inbound or outbound department. Because Rentex is a rental company, equipment is continuously moving out to customers and returning to inventory.
This is an entry-level role. Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required. We value integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Employees who learn quickly, follow directions, and demonstrate initiative will have opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Scan Rentex equipment in and out for orders and returns
- Check for missing equipment and report findings
- Count cables and miscellaneous items accurately
- Return equipment to proper shelving locations
- Pull and prepare orders with strong attention to detail
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment
- Follow Rentex warehouse and safety procedures
- Assist other warehouse departments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle equipment, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. Employees must occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
