Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals has an immediate opening for a full-time Material Handler at our Fort Lauderdale, FL location. We offer a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, takes initiative, and has proven experience operating a stand-up reach forklift in narrow aisles. In this role, you will assist the shipping and receiving teams with picking orders, receiving equipment, and placing pallets on warehouse racks while maintaining strict safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate a stand-up reach forklift in narrow aisle warehouse environments
- Work with fulfillment and quality control teams to restock or pull equipment from racks
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Palletize equipment to prepare orders for shipping
- Assist fulfillment teams in pulling and staging orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all Rentex safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating a forklift
- Current forklift operator certification
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. Employees must occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
