Account Manager – Anaheim, Las Vegas or Phoenix

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven Account Manager responsible for selling our products and services coast-to-coast. This is an inside sales position available at one of our West Coast branch offices. The selected candidate will be required to develop relationships with existing clients, cold call prospective clients, respond to inbound leads, and creatively generate new leads nationwide. This position reports directly to the Directors of Sales.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to resolve issues involving changes to orders, pricing, and returns to ensure customer satisfaction while keeping the interests of Rentex in mind
    • Utilize available tools to establish and grow strong relationships with key decision makers
    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quota objectives
    • Meet or exceed prospecting objectives
    • Apply strategic thinking to customer relationship development
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with customers and co-workers in a high-pressure environment
    • React to constantly changing circumstances and professionally handle customer objections with the best interest of Rentex in mind
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal contacts
  • Build and maintain rapport with Operations and Logistics coworkers across the company
  • Consistently improve knowledge of Rentex rental inventory through self-study, monthly team presentations, and quarterly training sessions
  • Remain current with trends and initiatives within the audio visual & computer rental industry
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales

 

Attributes and Abilities:

  • General
    • Able to reprioritize tasks and manage all customer expectations to meet deadlines
    • Able to effectively manage a high volume of incoming calls and emails with professionalism
    • Have a highly motivated and energetic personality with the ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Has an informed point of view and can take decisive action when necessary
    • Be able to work as part of a team, and have the desire to be part of a growing company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced understanding of Rentex’s inventory platform to solve the highest-level problems
  • AV Knowledge
    • Possesses 5+ years of AV experience in the live event environment
    • A strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and computer equipment and specifications
    • Well-versed in standard live event production practices and standards
  • Sales
    • Have more than 2 years of experience generating new customer leads and maintaining existing customer relationships
    • Is personable with an ability to elicit trust and enthusiasm from potential and existing clients

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse/office environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-­time position. Days and hours of work are subject to change and may rotate. Needs of the business may dictate long hours and weekend work during high-demand periods.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 4-year college degree
  • 5­ to 10 years’ experience in audio/visual, event production or a related field
