DOT Driver – Weekends (Friday – Monday) – New York/New Jersey
Position Summary
Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Weekend Delivery Driver to support equipment deliveries and pickups throughout New York City. This role is critical to ensuring Rentex equipment is delivered accurately, safely, and on time while providing excellent service to our customers.
This is a Friday–Monday position and requires consistent availability on those days. The ideal candidate has experience driving in NYC, maintains a clean driving record, and takes pride in representing Rentex professionally in the field.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and safely operate Rentex delivery vehicles
- Deliver and pick up audiovisual and computer rental equipment at customer locations
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent Rentex professionally on-site
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch throughout delivery routes
- Learn and navigate regular delivery locations and routes
- Scan equipment in and out of Rentex’s rental system
- Check for missing or damaged equipment and report findings promptly
- Follow all safety procedures, DOT requirements, and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Assist warehouse operations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Driving & Logistics Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Valid in-state driver’s license to operate vehicles up to 25,999 pounds
- DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)
- Clean driving record for the past 3–5 years (no DUIs)
- Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience driving cargo vans, cube trucks, box trucks, or straight trucks up to 26,000 lbs
- Must have experience driving in New York City
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and on-road delivery environment, with frequent interaction at customer job sites.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands to handle equipment. The employee must be able to safely lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hourly position scheduled Friday through Monday. Consistent availability on these days is required. Work hours may vary based on delivery schedules and business needs.
