Warehouse Manager – New York/New Jersey

Position Summary

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations at our Secaucus, NJ location. This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of audiovisual and computer rental equipment through inbound, outbound, and trucking operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and timeliness.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily flow of equipment through the warehouse, including inbound, outbound, and trucking operations
  • Coordinate departments to maximize efficiency while empowering department leads and team members
  • Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules and operational reporting
  • Facilitate same-day orders and rapid equipment turnarounds during high-demand periods
  • Anticipate operational issues and proactively implement solutions
  • Optimize warehouse layout to improve efficiency, safety, and workflow
  • Maintain inventory of warehouse supplies and consumables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Rentex sales representatives regarding order-related questions and issues
  • Provide daily direction, accountability, and performance feedback to warehouse employees
  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term labor schedules
  • Allocate warehouse personnel resources based on business demand
  • Train, coach, and develop warehouse team members
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Operations & Warehouse Knowledge

  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a busy warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge of warehouse layout, logistics, and workflow optimization
  • Experience coordinating labor and resources to meet operational deadlines
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a warehouse environment with some office-based responsibilities.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or move equipment. The employee must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.


Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak periods.


Preferred Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to warehouse management experience preferred
