The Apple Mac mini features a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 (2415M) processor with two independent processor cores on a single chip, a 3MB shared level 3 cache, 8GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, and Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 288MB of memory shared with the system.

Connectivity includes a Firewire 800 port, four USB 2.0 ports, combined audio line in (digital/analog) and combined audio line out/headphone minijacks, a 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0, an SDXC card slot and an HDMI port as well as a new “Thunderbolt” port that is backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort and likewise supports an external display at 2560×1600 and passes an audio signal as well. Thunderbolt also supports other peripherals that use the Thunderbolt standard which provides up to 10Gbps of bandwidth in both directions.

Compared to its non-server predecessor, the most obvious external difference is that this model lacks an optical drive, but it also has the aforementioned Thunderbolt port and is a bit lighter. Internally, it also has a faster processor, architecture, RAM and graphics as well as improved wireless capabilities.


The Mac mini Desktop Computer from Apple is a quiet and compact desktop computer in a sleek aluminum unibody enclosure, measuring at a mere 7.7″ square and 1.4″ high. The system is powered by a quad-core Ivy Bridge 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 processor and includes 4GB of 1600Hz DDR3 RAM, a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, an SDXC card reader, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000. The computer is loaded with Apple’s Mac OS X operating system. The 64-bit OS features Time Machine backup, which automatically backs up system data to an external hard drive.


The new 27″Apple iMac Quad Core Intel Core i5 comes with a powerful 2.66GHz quad processor, a gigantic 1TB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. It also has a 8X DVD drive and the ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with 512MB of dedicated GDDR3 memory. The 27-inch display is a brilliant HD screen with a 2560 x 1440 resolution which is much higher that most full-HD 1080p HDTVs. Connectivity wise the iMac has Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g/n wi-fi, a Mini DisplayPort, FireWire 800, 4 USB ports and much more.


The iMac “Core i7” desktop is powered by a Quad Core 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 processor configured with 16GB RAM a 1TB (7200RPM) hard drive, a vertically-mounted slot-loading DVD±R DL “SuperDrive”, and ATI Radeon HD 6970M graphics with 1GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory.

It also has a built-in “FaceTime HD” video camera and built-in stereo speakers underneath the 27″ glossy 16:9 LED-backlit TFT Active Matrix LCD (2560×1440 native) display “with IPS technology”.

Connectivity includes four USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire “800” port, built-in AirPort Extreme, Gigabit Ethernet, and an SDXC card slot as well as dual “Thunderbolt” ports that are backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort and, likewise, each support an external display up to 30″ (2560×1600). Thunderbolt also supports other peripherals that use the Thunderbolt standard which provides up to 10 Gbps of bandwidth in both directions.


The system is powered by a 12-core 2.7GHz Intel Xeon E5 processor. The Mac Pro also has 64GB of 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC RAM and 512GB of PCIe-based flash storage. There are also dual AMD FirePro D700 graphics cards with 6GB of GDDR5 discrete VRAM each. You’ll be able to connect to the Internet with fast speed 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The Mac Pro also supports a/b/g/n Wi-Fi networks as well. The Mac Pro also features built-in Bluetooth 4.0, which allows you to connect wireless headphones, keyboard, mice and other compatible peripherals without a hassle.

The Mac Pro has six Thunderbolt 2 ports, a high-speed interface that can move data at up to 20 Gb/s. That’s four times the speed of the USB 3.0 standard. Speaking of USB 3.0, Apple added four USB 3.0 ports to ensure you have full native connectivity options with your USB-compatible peripherals, such as external hard drives.


The 21.5″ iMac Desktop Computer from Apple is an all-in-one desktop computer with an ultra-slim unibody design. Measuring at just 5mm at its edges, the iMac has 40% less volume than the 2011 iMac. The body of the iMac isn’t the only thing that got thinner. The LCD display is now 5mm thinner, and Apple also removed a 2mm gap between the LCD panel and the glass to save even more space.

The 21.5″ widescreen display features LED backlighting for vibrant, accurate color. With in-plane switching (IPS) technology, the iMac has a wide 178° viewing angle. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution, supported by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics card with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

Powered by a quad-core 4th-generation Haswell 2.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor, the iMac takes advantage of each core to optimize performance. The 4th-gen Haswell Intel processor also allows for low voltage usage for better energy efficiency. The system also has 8GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac/a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, a FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones and built-in stereo speakers.

For ports, the iMac has dual Thunderbolt ports (which also double as Mini DisplayPorts) and four USB 3.0 ports. You’ll be able to connect with various compatible components.
