Additional Notice for EU and EEA Residents
The General Data Protection Act (GDPR) regulates the processing of personal data about individuals in the European Union. Rentex is committed to full GDPR compliance.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for general information about what kind of personal data we collect, and how we collect, use and store your personal data. Please see below for additional information relevant to the GDPR.

What are my rights under the GDPR?

You have many rights relating to your personal information. Additional information on your rights can be requested directly from the data protection regulator within your country. Your rights include:

  • The right to object to processing

You have the right to object to certain types of processing, including processing for direct marketing.

  • The right to be informed

You have the right to be provided with clear, transparent, and easily understandable information about how we use your information and your rights (such as the information provided in this policy).

  • The right of access

You have the right to request access to your information and certain other information relevant to how your information is attained and used. There may be a small fee associated with this request.

  • The right to rectification

You are entitled to have your information corrected or amended if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • The right to erasure

This right, also known as ”the right to be forgotten,” allows you to request that your information be permanently deleted or removed if you feel that you no longer want us to keep and use it. There can be exceptions to this dependent upon the situation.

  • The right to restrict processing

You have the right to block or suppress the further use of your information. When processing is restricted, we can still store your information, but may not use it further. We keep lists of people who have asked for further use of their information to be blocked to make sure the restriction is respected in future.

  • The right to data portability

You have the right to obtain and reuse your personal information for your own purposes across different services. For example, if you decide to switch to a new provider, this enables you to move, copy or transfer your information easily between our information technology systems and theirs safely and securely, without affecting its usability.

  • The right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint about the way we handle or process your personal information with your national data protection regulator.

  • The right to withdraw consent

If you have given your consent to anything we do with your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (although if you do so, it does not mean that anything we have done with your personal information with your consent up to that point is unlawful). This includes your right to withdraw consent to us to use your personal information for marketing purposes.

If you make a request regarding your rights, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of the above rights, you can do so here.

On what basis do you process my personal information?

Personal information is processed by Rentex in accordance with its (and its customers’) legitimate interests. We are happy to share our legitimate interest assessment (LIA) with you should you wish to see it.

We also process information based on your consent, when you provide your information to us in order to receive our products and/or services.

Is the provision of my personal data a statutory requirement?

No.

Is the provision of my personal information a contractual requirement?

Some of your personal information, such as your name, contact information and billing information, may be required in order to provide you with our products and/or services.

Should you choose not to provide your personal details to us as a customer, we would be unable to provide you with our products and/or services.

Do you run any auto-decision making or profiling on me?

No, we do not.

Will my information ever be transferred internationally?

We may transfer your personal information outside of your country when it is required that we do so.
