Compact and powerful, the V-80HD covers professional video production needs for in-person events, livestreaming, studio productions, and other applications. The all-in-one design is easy to carry and set up, while flexible I/O features support 3G SDI, HDMI, USB 3.0, and LAN (RTMP/SRT) connections. The V-80HD also includes multi-channel audio mixing and effects, integrated control for PTZ cameras, and remote operation with video monitoring via dedicated control apps. And with the companion Graphics Presenter software, you can easily enhance productions with impressive titles, motion graphics, and more.

The V-80HD features versatile input connectivity with HDMI for common A/V devices and SDI for long cable runs and high-end cameras. Eight total channels are available, enabling seamless switching for up to four HDMI and four SDI input sources. Two 4K HDMI inputs are equipped with downscalers and the ability to send parallel connections to gaming consoles at eSports events. Additionally, an SRT input can be assigned to a cross-point button together with an SDI and HDMI input.

The new Graphics Presenter software for Windows allows you to create stunning titles and graphics without the need for expensive third-party graphic presentation solutions. Setup with the V-80HD is quick and straightforward, requiring only a single HDMI connection to send fill and key signals from the computer to the switcher.

Graphics Presenter offers an intuitive workflow with a wide selection of ready-to-edit templates, including animated title text, sports scores, motion graphics, and more. The software and templates are available free of charge, and additional content is periodically provided for download on Roland Cloud.

The V-80HD uses the same connection technology as webcams, providing a plug-and-play streaming experience. Simply connect the USB-C output to a computer or smartphone and start streaming with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any platform that can use a webcam as its source. LAN connectivity is also supported, allowing you to stream directly to YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, or any RTMP or SRT platform without a computer.

Up to 16 mixed video inputs can be composited in the eight-layer video effects engine on Program, with an AUX bus and Multiviewer also available for up to 7 outputs. An impressive 40 channels of audio can be handled by the built-in auto mixing to bring together analog sources as well as the embedded audio. The unit offers frame synchronization and scaling on all inputs, while three operational modes provide a variety of applications. Matrix mode allow for switching of four sources to any of four outputs, while Switcher mode allows Picture-in-Picture, key-composting, and dissolve transitions. Roland’s V-1HD 4 x HDMI Input Switcher is a portable solution for HD video production that accommodates up to four HD inputs. The inputs each have a frame buffer/TBC so that you don’t need to Genlock your input sources together. You can control the switcher manually by using the built-in controls or connect it to a computer or iPad running optional software for electronic control. Select your working resolution and switch between your four input sources. Built into the switcher is a 12-channel audio mixer, which can de-embed and embed audio signals from HDMI.

The integrated T-fader allows you to manually control the speed of transitions, or you can use the take button to actuate your selected transition. The unit features a program and multi-view preview output as well as an analog audio input and output. Though small in size, it allows you to perform picture-in-picture, green-screen, and other keying effects, and a transform control enables advanced video effects on your footage.

The Roland V-800HD Multi-Format Video Switcher is a true multi-format video mixer, meaning that it doesn’t require input sources to be matched to output resolutions. Every input has it’s own broadcast quality scaler that can individually scale, stretch, crop and zoom each source as needed for the output resolution chosen. And most every type of digital and analog input is available, in video or computer format. On the output side, a built-in HDMI multi-viewer output provides a convenient monitoring solution. In addition to video channels, two channels are available for still images, which upload by USB memory stick or frame grab.

Ten assignable video cross-points allow the reordering of channel buttons, especially useful when sudden changes in camera lines or differences in formats create blank spaces between select buttons on the bus. A dedicated composite output allows for a down-converted SD signal to always be ready for use in archiving to a DVD recorder or to an encoder for streaming. Multi-Zoom functionality can be enabled when one video input is shared internally with up to three more inputs. The scaler for each input can zoom into any position in the video image to give the appearance that additional cameras are connected, thus creating a virtual multi-camera environment.
