Blackmagic Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus

Blackmagic Design’s Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus is a compact video file recorder with an extended feature set. With h.264, ProRes, and DNx formats available for recording, you can choose between file size and fidelity to match your postproduction workflow. Two high speed UHS-II SD Card slots allow extended roll-over recording on the front, or choose to record to a high capacity drive using the rear USB-C port. Files can be quickly dumped from the SD Cards with the included UHS-II to USB-C high speed dock, or clips can be pulled off the unit over network using FTP.

Hybrid events can use the Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus for double duty, recording on SD Card while capturing the video by USB-C as a 1080p webcam input to a video call. Quickly monitor the audio using the front panel speaker, or listen carefully via the front panel headphone jack. The SDI Monitoring output can also provide overlays including audio level, recording time remaining and drive status, and more.

Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus can also be used in a video file playback role, controlled from the front panel or by network. ProRes 4444 files with Alpha channel can be played as Key and Fill from the 2 6G-SDI output connectors. There is tight integration for playback when used with ATEM switchers.

Genlock Sync and Timecode can be provided to the Hyperdeck in Multicam environments, or choose to follow the input timing (for genlock) and time of day for timecode. If internally generated, this timecode is provided on the LTC Timecode output, so one unit can be used to provide timecode to the others if a master timecode device is not on site.

This well-rounded feature set provides a lot of flexibility in the field in a very portable size.

The Tessera SK40 is a full 4K LED video processor that allows you to send 4K content to ROE Visual Black Pearl 2.84mm LED’s.

NEW – Multiple cameras can capture multiple content streams on the same LED screen simultaneously with Frame Remapping.

Frame Remapping is a game changer when shooting with LED screens, allowing for at least two cameras per setup (up to four depending on frame rate you’re shooting at) by genlocking each camera to the same frame rate as the content coming in. Of course, it is easy to setup since the different content is automatically split up and stitched together by our Tessera processor, which can display it in any order you want.

ONE SCREEN, MULTIPLE STREAMS

Frame Rate Multiplication allows an LED screen to refresh at a frame rate that is a multiple of the input frame rate, to ensure the camera sees a complete image every time it opens its shutter.

Frame Remapping extends this by allowing you to specify exactly what part of the input raster is output for each of these additional frames. To the eye the different content will appear to be superimposed – but a camera that is genlocked and set to the appropriate phase offset can capture any one of the content streams.

It is also possible to interleave frames of any solid color, which has additional benefits:

Black frames can be inserted to reduce motion blur
Blue or green frames can be inserted so that separate cameras can be used to capture both a virtual background and a matte background for post-production keying

This enables the Pearl Mini to quickly send to or receive from another Pearl unit for multi-site events. SRT is also integrated into other products such as the Panasonic AW-UE100 and UE150 4K PTZ cameras and AG-CX350 4K Camcorder, enabling the Pearl Mini to receive SRT over network directly from those cameras.

Our Pearl Mini units include an internal 512gb SSD drive to ensure recording is always available. After recording, files can be set for automatic upload to USB or individually transferred, or the Pearl can be set to send recordings directly to network storage as they are completed.
